Hi, I'm Dr. Jennifer.
For more than 20 years I've studied how people make decisions, and why smart, capable people still get stuck. I did my undergraduate training at the University of Oregon and earned my PhD at the California School of Professional Psychology, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. My clinical career includes positions at the UCLA Neuropsychological Institute, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and I ran a brain-mapping practice in Aspen before focusing on coaching.
My clients are usually the person everyone else leans on. They don't need a cheerleader. They need someone sharp to think with: someone who talks to them straight, tells them the truth without sugarcoating it, asks the hard questions, and keeps them honest about what they said they'd do.
That's what I do.
Four simple steps.
No commitment until you pick a time and confirm.

Do I need to know my goal first?
No. Most people arrive with a decision or a stuck feeling. Working out the goal is part of what we do.
How is this different from therapy?
Coaching is about goals and decisions. I don't diagnose or treat mental health conditions in coaching. If therapy would serve you better, I'll tell you.
Why a psychologist and not an AI tool?
AI is useful for brainstorming. But it tends to agree with you, it can't tell when you're avoiding the real issue, and it won't notice if you never follow through.
I bring more than 20 years as a licensed psychologist. I notice what you leave out, I recognize the patterns that keep smart people stuck, and I'll tell you honestly when your plan doesn't match what you really want. Then I ask what you actually did since last time.
That mix of expertise, honesty and accountability is what turns a good idea into real change. And everything you share stays between us.
How will I know it's working?
Before we start, we agree on what progress looks like: a decision made, a conversation had, a step finished. Then we check against it.
Where do you work with clients?
Coaching is online and open to people anywhere in the U.S. Psychology services are separate and only for clients in California.
What if none of the times work for me?
Send me a message and we'll find another time.
